memperbaiki grub loader ubuntu pada triple-boot-system

setelah berhasil dan bermain sudo di ubuntu..fedora pun menjadi target selanjutnya.
sebener'e sudah beberapa hari yg lalu telah men-download iso live-cd nya fedora tp ga sempet mo install..
akhirnya hari ini tepat hari minggu tanggal 16-agustus 2009 jam 08:23 pm fedora pun terinstall...
desktop gnome kutelusuri setiap tombol dan menunya... ups.. oiya teringat akan boot-loader... hmmm bgmn nasib Xp dan ubuntunya?
system pun direstart .. hela dalah benar ternyata.. di menu grub cuma ada pilihan fedora~ dan other..
other ku select tombol enter ku tekan.. jreng jreng.. windows Xp booting... aduoh(kukur2 bathuk).. kudu install ubuntu lagi ni....
eiittss .. bentar dulu keknya pernah baca tentang ubuntu-grub-recovery.. googling dan dapat, cara memperbaikinya menggunakan Ubuntu-live-cd..

berikut langkah langkah ku menyelesaikan tantangan ini,

::memperbaiki grub bootloader ubuntu::

-boot ubuntu-live-cd
-jalankan terminal... dan masuk ke-grub

dengan ketik perintah,

sudo grub

setelah masuk dalam grub shell ("grub>") ketik perintah

find /boot/grub/stage1

perintah diatas memunculkan output hd?,?

ketikan perintah berikut,

root (hd?,?)

(hd?,?) isi tanda-tanya dengan sesuai dengan hasil dari find /grub/stage1 (misal: hd0,2)
selanjutnya menulis/install grub di MBR dengan perintah,

setup (hd0)

keluar dari shell "grub>" dengan perintah

quit

kemudian restart system... keluarkan ubuntu-live-cd dari drive rom
dan grub ubuntu-pun telah kembali....
WinXp ada ....tapi ko' ga' ada fedoranya?hilangkah, terhapuskah?
dont worry....berikut yang saya lakukan untuk menampilkan fedora pada menu grub loadernya ubuntu

::menambahkan fedora pada menu di grub ubuntu::

-boot ubuntu
-jalankan terminal
- masuk ke root .. dengan perintah

sudo su

masukan password jika diharuskan

kemudian mount dahulu drive dmn fedora terinstall.. biar lebih mudah lewat explorer saja.. klik kanan drive tsb dan pilih mount..
otomatis drive tsb akan ter-mount-kan di folder media//
jika drive memiliki label maka drive tsb akan ter-mount-kan dengan media/nama_label
jika tidak nama_label menjadi "disk","disk-1","disk-2" dst

lanjut ke terminal,
untuk membuka list grub punyanya fedora ketikan perintah,

gedit /media/disk/boot/grub/menu.lst

maka akan muncul gedit-editor

untuk membuka list grub punyanya ubuntu ketikan perintah,

gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

kita akan meng-copy beberapa line dari menu.lst-nya fedora ke menu.lst-nya ubuntu

copy beberapa line berikut dari menu.lst fedora

kemudian paste-kan ke menu.lst-nya ubuntu dibagian paling bawah
hingga seperti berikut,(contoh ini adalah dari file menu.lst disystem saya, mungkin beberapa akan berbeda dgn punya anda)

ok..setelah kemarin tentang multiple-Firefox sekarang IE
ini lebih mudah...karena sudah disediakan installernya oleh tredosoft
nah... download dahulu installernya disini

jalankan(eksekusi) multiple-ie-setup.exe yg telah di download

pada proses install, sesi "Select Component" pilih yg diinginkan..
( hanya support IE3 IE4.01 IE5 IE5.5 dan IE6).

*multiple IE ini hanya berjalan di Windows Xp

this time we will try using and install 2 version of firefox, version 3.0.x and 3.5.x in our computer-system ....( you can add another version later ..)

assumed that the browser already installed mozilla-firefox with version 3.0.x
download version 3.5.x in www.mozilla.com and install.

at the setup Type dialog select custom and uncheck the ~ as the default browser (such as the picture below)> next

then choose the install location dialog ... select and rename the directory in accordance with its version (example: G: \ Program Files \ Mozilla Firefox 3.5 \) to facilitate the process in the next (see image below)

Set Up Shortcuts dialog uncheck all the options (such as the following picture)

next> finish> un-launch firefox

the next step, create a new profile
make sure you do not have to run firefox

then run on the browse / type < "lokasi_firefox_default"-ProfileManager>
* Lokasi_firefox_default I referred to is the location of firefox installed I assumed at the beginning, that is version 3.0.x
example: "G: \ Program Files \ Mozilla Firefox \ firefox.exe"-ProfileManager

> OK

create a new profile> enter name profile(eg, node)> finish> exit.

last step is to create a shortcut to the link-firefox 3.5.x

right click desktop> new> shortcut
then browse to the firefox 3.5.x> next>enter name for this shortcut (ex: firefox 3.5)> finish

right-click the newly created shortcut> properties> shortcut
on target field: insert the argument node-P-no-remote
example: "G: \ Program Files \ Mozilla Firefox 3.5 \ firefox.exe"-P node-no-remote

Click Apply> OK
done
